I enjoy working with a broad range of client groups: school children (including those with special needs); women with mental health issues; refugees; older folk; multicultural groups; community groups, and unsuspecting folk during the fringe events of literature festivals!

As a poet, creative writer, and artist, I can easily combine image or mark-making with text, whether it’s written text or cut from a book or magazine - which lessens the fear some have of the writing process. I like to use the book form in as creative a way as possible – to suit the content and the creator: using, for instance, suitcases, powder compacts, matchboxes – as the covers; tissue, handmade paper or edible rice paper as the pages, a fish spine for the spine of a book, and even blood as ink!

I have even knitted pages – there is no end to the scope that a book can offer.

I am a member of LAPIDUS – the Association of Literary Arts in Personal Development, and have a Post-Graduate Diploma in Creative Writing and Personal Development from Sussex University. My dissertation was: Mirror, Mirror: Journal Reflections, Creative Writing, and the Use of Photographic Self-Portraits in Autobiography.

I am particularly interested in the therapeutic use of creative writing and shall be appearing at the Cheltenham Literature Festival as Dr. Inkwell.

I am also a founder member of South Pole - a collective of artistes in the South who have Polish roots or an interest in Polish Culture.
